In my favorite detective game of all time, Paradise Killer, there’s a collectible near the beginning of the game simply titled “Well-Read Book.” If you read the description, it explains the book tells the story of an ex-gangster who masters grilled chicken skewers. In honor of this game I love so much, and as a fun writing exercise, I give you Of Gangs and Kabobs, a short story available here exclusively.
